Diesel Mechanic Technician

Job Description:

Our facility is looking to hire well rounded Technicians / Mechanics specializing in light duty diesels. Example; Powerstroke Engines, Duramax Engines & Cummins Engines. Driveability concerns are what we are known for. Pin tests and proper procedures to diagnose customer’s complaints are very important. Must be knowledgeable in Gas engines as well. The services we offer are as listed; everything from maintenance, to full custom work. Vehicle repairs are 70% of the work, the other would be custom work, from wheels, tires & suspension etc for most pickup trucks. Mechanics that have R&R knowledge and can follow procedures to just repair the vehicle that has been diagnosed by a Lead Technician, please apply as well.

Responsibilities:

• Reading work orders to evaluate the customer’s complaint & diagnose properly
• Must work well with others
• Preparing work plans after fully scoping out the issues
• Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions
• Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts
• Properly diagnosing HVAC issues and recommending the necessary repairs
• Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines and other associated parts
• Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance
• Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignments and brake checks

Requirements and Skills

• MUST HAVE your own tools
• Cleanliness and organizational skills
• Advanced knowledge of a vehicle, its electrical system and the mechanisms of a diesel engine
• In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms
• Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment
• Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics
• Proficiency in the use of diesel engine diagnostic software
• A valid driver’s license
• Good interpersonal skills

Lead Diesel Mechanic / Technician

• Diesel / Gas Master technician / Mechanic needed for busy shop. We are growing rapidly and looking for reliable help asap. We specialize in Powerstroke, Duramax & Cummins (all in the medium duty line). We perform; Diesel repair, performance, aftermarket suspension. ****** YOU MUST BE ABLE TO DIAGNOSE ON YOUR OWN ****** Must have recent professional Auto/Truck repair experience including:
• Engine performance
• Engine Repair
• Air Conditioning
• Cooling and Exhaust
• Brakes, Suspension & Off-road Suspension
• Must have own tools and a desire to provide extraordinary customer experience.
• Ford, Dodge, GM and or ASE certifications a plus.
• Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
• Five day work week M-F 8am-5pm. Top Pay for right person!
